Calm Tools

Wearable weighted capes and clip-on regulation tools, designed with occupational therapists for kids who find calm through deep pressure.

Every Big Hug tool is made for the moments that feel big: haircuts, mealtimes, outings and wind-down time. Little Hug is a weighted sensory cape that sits across the shoulders and packs into its own carry bag. The Octopop clips onto the cape, so a fidget is always within reach.

FAQS

Choosing the right Calm Tool

What's in the launch bundle?

The Little Hug cape in black with two removable teal weighted inserts, an Octopop that clips on, and a carry bag, for $189.

Should I add Calm Buddi or the SpikeyRing?

Calm Buddi is a turtle keyring and the SpikeyRing has dual textured sensory pads. Both clip onto the cape alongside the Octopop. Swapping between tools helps keep them new and interesting, so some families like to add both. Calm Buddi is $22.95 and the SpikeyRing is $29.95.

What age and size is Little Hug for?

Little Hug is for ages 3 to 14 and is not suitable for children under 3. The two removable inserts let you set the weight to 750g (ages 3 to 8) or 1.5kg (ages 9 to 14). As a cautious guide, a cape should weigh no more than 5% of your child's body weight.

When will it ship?

Pre-orders are open now. Stock lands in our Sydney warehouse around 10 December, and pre-orders dispatch mid-to-late December, with tracking by email.
